Brownwood News – The following calls for service were answered in recent days by the Brownwood Police Department.

On Monday, September 30, at approximately 14:50, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue in reference to theft. A report was generated for this incident.

On 10/1 /19 at approximately 07:00 hours, an Officer met with a subject at the LEC in reference to assault.  The woman explained to the Officer that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. A report has been completed for kidnapping and assault family violence strangulation.

On Tuesday October 1st, 2019 at approximately 11:29 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to 515 E Commerce St (Tokyo Steakhouse). During the call, an assault was reported to police. An active report was generated.

On Wednesday October 2, 2019, officers were waved down by a male individual in the 500 block of West Commerce St. When talking to the male it was discovered the vehicle he was using was stolen out of Big Spring, Texas.  Once officers received conformation on the stolen vehicle, the male was placed into custody.  A report was generated.
