Emergency Medical personnel and the Brownwood police responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident on Vine Street just after 5pm on Wednesday.

38-year-old Robert Crawford was riding his 2003 Victory motorcycle when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle and it went down.

Witnesses at the scene reported that Crawford was not speeding at the time, and when he fell from the bike he slid down the street for 20-30 feet. He was not wearing a helmet, and suffered a broken nose and facial fractures. He was transported by Guardian EMS to Brownwood Regional’s emergency room, and later transferred to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

At last report, Crawford is in stable condition in Temple, and expected to make a full recovery.
