District Attorney Micheal Murray says that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court with Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
John Andrew Jones pled guilty to the felony offense of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 45 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Jones pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.
In a seperate case, Colt Lavern Ferguson pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
