One person was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday, April 30th in Brown County. The crash occurred at 12:25 p.m. on Park Road 15, 0.1 mile east of Parkside Drive.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety, 52-year-old Richard Michael Beals of Midlothian, Texas was driving a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle, traveling east on Park Road 15, when he failed to negotiate a curve. DPS reports indicate that he locked the front brake causing the motorcycle to overturn.
Beals was taken by air ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Brandon Gilmore at 1:43 p.m.
This crash is being investigated by Texas Highway Patrol Corporal Karl Keesee.
