A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy and an Early Police officer responded to a call of a male subject standing in the middle of traffic on Hwy 67/377 about 5 miles east of Early on Saturday night.
19-year-old Timothy Samuel England of Marble Falls was found by an off-duty police officer from Stephenville to be standing in the middle of the highway with his back to traffic and his arms spread out according to reports. An Early police officer assisted the off-duty officer in confronting England.
The report indicates that England was armed with a knife and threatened both officers. Deputy Keith Varner of the Early Police deployed his taser on England to subdue him.
England was taken to the Brown County jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant and Obstruction of a Highway Passageway with bonds totaling $101,000.
