42-year-old Edwardo Rodriguez of Early was arrested on Sunday afternoon after he was involved in a two vehicle collision at the corner of FM 2126 (the access road) and FM 2525 (Williams Ranch Road) where Rodriguez was found to be intoxicated.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said that the suspect, driving a small pickup, was stopped at the stop sign of Williams Ranch Road going north. Officers allege that Rodriguez did an accelerated start and pulled out in front of another vehicle causing it to hit the side of his pickup.
Officials said that officers working the scene of the accident determined that Rodriguez was intoxicated. Brown County Jail records indicate that Rodriguez was charged with his third DWI and Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle. He was taken to Brown County Jail and held on bonds totaling $15,000.
DPS officials said that the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center and treated for injuries sustained in the collision.
