Brownwood News – On Saturday, December 9, 2017, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding a complaint of a male with a gun.

 

On arrival, officers were informed of a fight occurring at a residence. The male subject who initiated the fight was no longer on scene. Officers searched the area and located 30 year old Jorge Trevino of Brownwood hiding behind a tree adjacent to a local business. Officers took Trevino into custody without further incident. Officers reported while speaking with Trevino he provided a false name and date of birth and refused to answer questions about the incident.

Investigation at the scene revealed that Trevino was at the residence speaking with a woman. According to witnesses, Trevino pulled a pistol on her and threatened her life and that of her family. Family members recognized the problem that was occurring and intervened; causing injury to Trevino.

Trevino was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment and then arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Failure to Identify-Fugitive.

Further investigation revealed that Jorge Trevino had an active warrant for his arrest out of Guadalupe County. Furthermore, the weapon used during this incident was reported stolen out of Fort Bend County, Texas.  

Trevino was additionally charged with Theft of a Firearm

Friday, December 8th:

*3:17 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Commerce Street regarding Criminal Trespassing. Two individuals were arrested on scene.

*5:18 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding terroristic threats.

*6:30 p.m. Brownwood Police investigated a reported burglary in the 2400 block of Elizabeth Street.

Saturday, December 9th:

*9:00 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 2200 block of 8th Street regarding a theft.

*11:30 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of US 377 in reference to a theft.

*11:34 a.m. Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Langley was dispatched to a residence in May, in regards to a stolen vehicle. The deputy was provided with vehicle description and located the vehicle at about the 4800 block of US HWY 183 N. in Early. The deputy made contact with the suspect, identified in the report as Kevin Seymour Rollins, and a witness identified as Tammy Donisia Rollins. They stated they had an altercation with an individual over a vehicle purchase. According to the report, Kevin Rollins provided the deputy with a false date of birth during the investigation. This was to avoid being arrested for an active warrant out of the State of Colorado. Kevin Rollins was later picked up for the warrant. The deputy reported that Tammy Rollins aided Kevin Rollins by harboring and concealing him later while law enforcement was trying to apprehend him. Both were arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.

*11:59 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road for a report of domestic disturbance.

*2:15 p.m. Brownwood Police arrived at the emergency room after being alerted to a possible assault. An investigation was initiated and 40 year old Cody Wills was arrested for Aggravated Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

*4:00 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of East Commerce in reference to counterfeit bills.

*4:01 p.m. Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a theft.

*11:06 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a North Brownwood residence in reference to a burglary.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Mathis initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Austin and Coggin after observing a can being tossed out of a white pickup truck. The deputy made contact with the driver and detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver, identified in the report as Joel Adame, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after failing to perform Standard Field Sobriety Test.
