One man was airlifted after a traffic accident Saturday night between a motorcycle and another vehicle.

The accident occurred just after 8pm Saturday in the intersection of Austin Avenue and Center where the driver of the motorcycle was injured.   No other details were available Saturday night, but officers at the scene said that the man was conscious.

The Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS created a landing zone for the Air Evac helicopter in the parking lot of the former grocery store at the corner of Austin and Coggin so the man could be transported.  Guardian transported the man from the crash site to the landing zone.

Authorities would not release information on the man’s condition or identity.

Another man was airlifted earlier in the day Saturday after a separate motorcycle accident on HWY 183N near Owens.  That man was taken to Abilene by Air Evac.  No word on that man’s condition as of Saturday night.
