Brownwood teachers, faculty, and administration will gather in the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School on Monday, August 19th, for the annual convocation where they will be treated to a presentation by motivational speaker and author, Mamie McCullough.
McCullough is a teacher, motivational speaker and author; but she prefers to be known as an encourager. Mamie is an “over-comer;” having survived cancer is just one of the inspiring life stories she shares.
Mamie started her business career as a secretary and grew to become vice president of 13 corporations by the age of 28. Later she became a sales director for a direct sales organization and was recognized as one of the top ten in recruiting. As an educator Mamie has taught every level from eighth grade to college, as well as serving as a principal of a large Georgia High School.
The “I Can” lady worked with Zig Ziglar for 10 years as a speaker and author where she wrote curriculum that has influenced millions of students before launching her own training company. Her mission is to share life-changing principles instrumental in providing others with hope and vision on how to “get life together” personally and professionally. Mamie is the author of 5 books including “I Can, You Can Too!” She travels around the globe inspiring and equipping others to handle difficulties with her personal formula for success and happiness.
McCullough will be introduced as the guest speaker at the Brownwood ISD convocation following presentations by the BHS Band, BHS Choir, and several other special guests.
