Funeral services for Malcom “Mack” Leroy Joyner will be Saturday November 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel of Early. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral Home. Mr. Joyner passed away Wednesday.
He was born May 4, 1938 in Brownwood, Texas to Jack and Opal Joyner. He was the oldest of three children.
On January 19, 1956, Mac married Grace Ann McClung and to this union they were blessed with five children. He began his career in the oil field in 1956 and remained in the field for thirty years.
Mac enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and going to auctions. He also had a true love for animals, such as the ones he left behind, Sassey and Nosey.
Mac is survived by his wife, Grace Ann Joyner, daughter, Sherry McIntyre and her husband John McIntyre of Lindale, Tx, daughter Cylinda Musick and her husband Dewayne Musick of May, Tx. One son Gary Joyner and wife Rhonda Joyner of Brownwood, Tx, daughter Tammy Myers and her husband Garry Myers of Abilene, Tx, daughter Terri Joyner of Brownwood, Tx., Joy and David Haddox of Bryan, Tx., Sue and Jay Boyer of Bangs, Tx.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mac is survived by a sister Brenda Stearns and her husband Jimmy Stearns of Hico, Tx., a brother-in-law Bill McClung and his wife Donna McClung of Highland Village, Tx. numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Jack and Opal Joyner, his brother Floyd Wayne Joyner, and granddaughter, Brandy Lea Daughrity.
