Malcolm Wayne Bishop, 67, of Bangs passed away on March 9, 2014, in the Temple VA Hospital. Born in Brownwood, Texas, June 13, 1946, he was the son of Edward and Violet Bishop. Malcolm served his country in the US Navy, Naval Reserve, and National Guard and spent many years working in the oilfields of Texas.
Malcolm is survived by his four daughters, Lia Lanier of Abilene, Jennifer Coffee of Tuscola, Michelle (Victor) Romero of Eagle Pass, and Zena Bishop of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Chick and Matthew Fisher both of Tuscola, Jordan Fisher of Reno, Nevada, Harold Duane Lanier of Tye, Valerie and Victor Romero both of Eagle Pass, and Lennon Lanier of Bangs; two great-grandchildren, Kameron and Kyleigh Caperton of Tuscola; brother, Lowell Bishop (Virginia) of Bangs, several nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Violet Bishop; his brother, Jerry Bishop; sister, Dolores Bishop
Malcolm was known as a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be missed by many.
Funeral services for Malcolm Wayne Bishop, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Davis- Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
