The Brownwood Lyric Theatre presents How Sweet It Is, an original screenplay by Sidonie Thornton. Co-directed by Thornton and Caitlyn Tidwell. All performers in the play are participants of the Lyric Childrens’ Theatre Camp which began on June 7 running through their performances of June 18th & 19.
Cast of the play and participants of the weeks’ camp are: Emily Beane, Orion Childers, Claire Clayton, Kaya Cox, Colbie Crow, Mia Fletcher, Tara Glasscock, Madison Green, Tucker Hull, Ashton Jones, Jayslin King, Carter Langley, Jay Monson, John Monson, Emma Grace Quillin, Kelcie Roberson, Connor Robnett, Payton Slaymaker, Chaeli Stalcup, Skyler Wells, Madison Wise, Michaela Wise, Kate Yantis, and Maggie Yantis.
During the camp, children have been taught basic components of the theatre such as principles of the stage and drama. Participants also learned about technical aspects of the theatre such as sound, light and projection aspects of the stage.
Performances are being held at the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center of Brownwood High School Friday June 18th at 2:30pm & 7:30pm, then again on Saturday 19th at 2:30pm. Tickets are $5 each and can be bought at the door during performances or online at
