Gardening in Brown County” will be the focus of a Lunch-and-Learn program at the Brown County Master Gardeners meeting Thursday, March 1, 12 noon, at the AgriLife Extension office, 605 Fisk Ave. in Brownwood. All area gardeners are invited to attend.
Presented by Master Gardener Intern Leslie Ann Courington, the presentation will cover drought-tolerant and xeriscapic perennials and annuals that thrive in the Brown County area. Rainwater catchment will also be discussed.
A regular business meeting will follow. The Brown County Master Gardeners Association is working on a variety of projects, including a rainwater catchment educational campaign, a schoolyard garden at Coggin Elementary, and an area gardening guide. All interested gardeners are welcome.
