Funeral Services for Lucy Sue Baker Hedges, age 83, of Lake Brownwood formerly of Blanket, Texas will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Heartland Funeral Home with David Barnum officiating. Interment will follow at the Blanket Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. She passed away Friday in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Hedges was born on April 5, 1927 in Tow, Texas to George Gideon and Betty Jane Maxwell Thorp. Lucy grew up and attended school in Tow, Comanche and Sipe Springs. On, July 3, 1958 she married Walter Neldon Baker in Waxahachie, Texas and he preceded her in death. She was also blessed to have two other husbands in her life. Harvey Barton and Willard Hedges and they also preceded her in death. Lucy attended the Church of Christ and had owned and operated Sue’s Beauty Shop in Blanket for twenty five years.

Belinda Coyle and husband James of Midland, Texas
Brother: Loyd Thorp of Tow, Texas
10 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and sons Teddy Schoen, Freddie Schoen and Henry Schoen Jr.
