WicksonLucilleLucille Wickson joined her Heavenly Father on June 27, 2011 at the age of 92.  Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bangs, Texas on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM. with Reverend Richard Hetzel officiating.  Interment will be at the Bangs Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Netherton Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2011.

She was the daughter of Bill and Rosetta Tucker Pickering and the beloved wife of Lonnie Earl Wickson.  Born in May, 1919 in Haskell County, Texas, she married the love of her life in April of 1939.  Of this union, two children were born, Sharon Wickson Hawkins and Larry Earl Wickson.  Lucille retired from Citizens National Bank as a Vice President after 25 years of devoted service.  At the time of her death, Lucille was one of the oldest members of the McDaniel TEHA.  She was currently a resident of Songbird Lodge, where she was treated with great respect and kindness.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bangs, Texas and a member of the Esther Sunday School Class.

Lucille was the foundation of her family.  She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and doting grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Etta Pickering; her husband, Lonnie Wickson; a daughter, Sharon Wickson Hawkins; two sisters, Elva Rich and Bernice Mathison; and two great grandchildren, Jodie Swindall Sewell and Tyler Swindall.

She is survived by one son, Larry Earl Wickson and wife, Mary, of Brownwood, Texas.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, Rhonda Wilson and husband, Jim of Putnam, Texas; Glenda Swindall and husband, Jackie of Bangs, Texas; Billy Earl Hawkins and wife, Stephanie of Granbury, Texas; Stephanie Wickson of Bangs, Texas and Chad Wickson and wife, Teena of Breckenridge, Texas.  Other survivors are 18 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the charity of choice.
