Lowell Stewart, age 77, of Early went to his Heavenly home Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Blaylock Funeral Home; cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Lowell was born on January 20, 1940 to John and Dollie (Lunsford) Stewart in Winters, Texas. Lowell joined the United States Navy and proudly served from 1957 to 1975. He was a VFW Post 3278 member for 30 years; he served as a Quarter Master and Junior Vice President. Lowell loved hunting, gardening and being outdoors. He was an adopted son of the Living God.
Lowell is survived by his children, Linda Jo Brown of Early, Dawn Elizabeth Holland and husband Albert of Santa Anna, Glenn Michael Stewart of Early, Jeffrey Todd Stewart of Allen, Luann Marie Escobedo and husband Oscar of Florida, Amber Dawn Martinez of Mineral Wells, and Tyrell Lowell Stewart of Mineral Wells; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Ganell Ehrke and husband Jack of Early; and brother, Gerald Glenn Stewart and wife Joyce of Hobbs, N.M. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his 3rd wife, Aleissa Renne Stewart; parents, John and Dolly Stewart; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
