Louise began her long and adventurous 104 year life on Feb. 9, 1906 in Iron Mountain. MI; born to Amos and Rose Croll. She graduated HS at age 17 in 1923 from Aurora HS, MN. She went on to attend Michigan’s Northern State Normal (now Northern Michigan University) in Marquette; where she graduated in 1925 with a degree in primary education. While in school Louise met the love of her life Gordon Price, a dental student at Northern. They married in 1927 in Battle Creek, MI. They had a beautiful baby girl, Patricia, in 1929. Her wonderful 31 years with Gordon found them traveling and enjoying cards with their many friends. Gordon passed away in 1960. In 1964, Louise married her dear friend Kenneth Williams of Eaton Rapids MI. After Kenneth retired as president of the Bank of Eaton Rapids, they enjoyed traveling and their 2nd home in Bay Indies Venice, FL. Kenneth passed away in 1992, Louise continued living in FL and traveling with her granddaughters. Taking exciting trips to Greece, Alaska and the Caribbean. At the age of 100, Louise moved to Brownwood, TX to be closer to her granddaughters and their families. Louise “Mimi” went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 20, 2011.
If you asked Louise her secret to a long and wonderful life, she would tell you to stay active both mentally and physically; enjoy family and friends; explore new things, places and people. Louise was a life member of The Eastern Star, and held a Life-Long teachers certificate in MI.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Hugo Croll; husbands Gordon Price and Kenneth Williams; and her daughter Patricia Price McDonough.
She is survived by granddaughters Beth Meadow and husband Jeff of Blanket,TX, Diane Schmidt and husband Larry of Spring, TX, & Lynette Messer and husband Sid of Lake Odessa, MI. Great grand children Justin Meadow and wife Lisa of Blanket,TX; Michael Messer of Lake Odessa, MI, & Wayne Meadow and wife Crystal of Blanket, TX. Great-great grand children Wyatt and Cash Meadow of Blanket,TX.

Friends are welcome to join her family in celebrating her life Sunday January 23, 2011; 4PM at Heartland Funeral Home, Early, TX Louise will be laid to rest with her family this summer in Negaunee, MI.
