Graveside services for Lou Tishie Hise, 78, of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Woodland Memorial Park in Mineral Wells with William Eudy officiating. Lou went home to be with her Lord March 23, 2013 in Brownwood.
Lou was born in Lone Camp, Texas on September 20, 1934 to Robert (Bob) Lee and Josie Ann Thornton. She learned to play the piano at the age of five, and at eight years of age, wrote the school song for Santo. On August 10, 1952, she married Gilbert Lawrence Hise in Lone Camp. After becoming a recording artist and playing for so many years, the sound of Lou on the piano can still be heard by many. She loved her family and enjoyed visiting with friends and making new ones.Those left behind to cherish her memories include her husband, Gilbert Hise of Brownwood; one daughter, Eva Ann Little of Rochelle; one son, Gilbert Randal Hise, Sr. of Harker Heights; one granddaughter Brandy Ann Kleindorfer and husband, David of Deltona, Florida; one grandson, Gilbert Randal Hise, Jr. and wife, Tasha of Killeen; four great grandchildren, Zachary and Trevor Kleindorfer, Amara Hise and Nathan Nevell. She is also survived by one sister, Bobbie Zinn of Mineral Wells; four brothers, Roy Thornton and wife, Nora Beth of Stephenville, Frank Thornton and wife, Patsy Nell of Santo, Garland Thornton of Florida and Troy Thornton and wife, Wanda of Gordan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie Long Walker.
Lou was loved by so many, and she will be deeply missed.
