Funeral Services for Lorene T. Romero, age 81, of Brownwood, will be held Monday August 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood with Father Francis Njoku officiating. On Monday at 1:00 p.m. before departure to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, from Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel; Minister Ismael Ceniceros with Nueva Vida will speak words of comfort for family and friends at that time. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of The Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. She passed away Wednesday August 08, 2012 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Lorene was born on December 03, 1930 in Brownwood, Texas to Isabel and Jesusa (Arguigo) Torrez.
The greatest love of our lives our jewel, our mother our grandmother the greatest mom and grandma any one could ever imagine. She who loved her parents, brothers, sisters, her children and grandchildren more than anything is now gone. She had a great love and the greatest of faith. Now at peace resting in the hands of the Lord certain that our father Thomas H. Romero is with her now in the Glory of God. We will love and miss her forever and “forever in our hearts she will be with us”.
Lorene is survived by 4 children; Robert “Bobby” Romero and wife Norma of Arlington; Esther Perez and husband Faustino “Tino” of Brownwood; Tommy Romero of Brownwood, and James Romero of Brownwood; 6 grandchildren; Jacob Gutierrez and wife Tori, Lauren Perez Villeda and husband Manuel, Andrea Romero, Nicolas Romero, Marcus Romero and wife Cynthia; 3 great-grandchildren; Adriana Romero, Jennifer Romero, and Daniel Gutierrez.
