MissionPossibleKidsFUMCMission Possible Kids will be collecting leftover wrapped candy for soldiers through a program called Operation Gratitude. They are willing to pick up candy but will also have collection bins at First United Methodist Church beginning today until Nov. 6th.  Please call Randee Green, 325-642-1202 if anyone has candy that Mission Possible Kids could pick up.

Mission Possible Kids will be collecting and sending all candy to the nationwide program called Operation Gratitude.  Operation Gratitude sends individual care packages to soldiers deployed in various combat zones throughout the world. The care packages include items such as hygiene products, magazines and letters of appreciation from school children as well as handmade cards and pictures. The letters build morale, and these boxes also include candy collected during Halloween.

The candy is used as a tool to foster community relations with local village children. This candy is not only a sweet treat from home, but is also given to the local village children, who in exchange tell the soldiers life-saving information about enemy troop positions, IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), and other important intelligence. The candy can save lives.

Mission Possible Kids is nonprofit dedicated to empowering kids to change the world through helping others.
