Local martial artist, Michael Spratt, won 1st and 2nd place in continuous and point sparring at the Wild Wild West Karate Championship held April 17th and 18th at the Abilene Civic Center. Mike is an assistant instructor with RLS Hapkido Self Defense located at the Brownwood Fitness Center.
The Wild Wild West Karate Championship for 2015 was “A” rated by the Amateur Organization of Karate (AOK) and “AA” rated by the American Black Belt Championship and Scholarship Series.Robert L. Spratt, founder and chief instructor, established RLS Hapkido Self Defense in 2013 as an eclectic style of martial arts combining Traditional and Combat Hapkido with subject control and defensive tactics. RLS Hapkido Self Defense is a Charter Member of the International Combat Hapkido Federation.
