The Brown County Sheriff’s Office presented a pair of appreciation awards, one to correctional officer Brian Mackey and one to Deputy Nathan Land.

Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs said that Deputy Land is regularly viewed by his peers as a leader who uses good judgment and works hard to set a good example to others, especially the newer officers in his circle of influence.

Grubbs said that Officer Brian Mackey has been depended on to perform his responsibility above and beyond what is required.
