Local high school athlete and avid fisherman Clint Taylor doubled his expectations while fishing on the Pecan Bayou this weekend, catching two fish on the same fishing lure.
Taylor, a quarterback for the Brownwood Lions football team, is currently working in two-a-days for football, but decided Sunday to take his canoe to Riverside Park in Brownwood and fish.
He and his dad put in his 13’canoe and tracked down the Pecan Bayou for about an hour and a half before wrapping up a day of catch and release fishing, according to his mother.
While fishing, he caught two bass at the same time on a single Ultralight 06 Minnow, which has two treble hooks, which is a very rare occurrence. According to Clint’s mom Alicia Taylor, both bass hit the line at the same time and was a very fun catch for her son. This is just one of the many good catches he has experienced on the Pecan Bayou, said Mrs. Taylor.
Clint, when he is not on the football field, enjoys fishing and writes a blog,
