Brownwood News – The Brownwood area Camp Gladiator group will be holding a special community workout on Saturday, July 7th, beginning at 9 a.m. at Cecil Holman Park. The group invites the community to participate in this special workout dedicated to Mike Thompson, the son of longtime group member Marisha Stidom.

“The one thing I love about CG is the community and how the campers encourage and support each other in all things,” local trainer Misti Bailey Pope said. “One of our own, Marisha Stidom, lost her son recently and I really wanted to do something special for her in his honor. I reached out to her and her favorite non-profit organization is Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We will be raising money to donate from CG in Mike’s name to FCA.”

There is no cost to participate in the community workout and all fitness levels are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring any monetary donation, big or small, to give to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Mike’s honor.

Camp Gladiator (CG) is an outdoor fitness group that offers one-hour, full-body workouts, outdoors in a teamwork-inspired setting. The company was founded by Ally Davidson after she won the title of Grand Champion on the NBC show “American Gladiator” in 2008. Ally used her winnings to launch her own fitness business, beginning in Dallas, and has since expanded to over 2,000 locations nationwide.
