TerryBeckMills County resident and Brownwood hometown boy Terry Beck will be featured at a special book signing event in Brownwood on Tuesday, August 18th.  He will be promoting his second book in his “A Gathering of Words” series, titled “I’ve Been Thinkin,” which was released earlier this year by Park Cities Publishing in Dallas.  His first book, A Train of Thought, a collection of tales and remembrances from his career with the railroad, quickly gained popularity around the country, and is nearing its third printing.

Beck’s new book focuses on both the absurdities and pleasures that result from having too much time on his hands to think since retirement.  A veteran storyteller, he captures the flavor of everyday life in ways that let readers join him in thought, laughter, reflection and more than a little head shaking.
