Lisa Michael McLeroy, age 42, of Early died Friday, May 6, 2011, at her home.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the High Mesa Cowboy Church with Pastor Todd King officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the services for visitation.
Her body was cremated under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
She was born March 14, 1969, at Fort Hood, Texas. She graduated with honors from the Brownwood High School and later attended Texas State Technical Institute and Howard Payne. She had lived in Brownwood and Early since 1976 and formerly lived in Indiana for five years. She had previously worked at the Havins Unit as a prison guard and formerly worked at MHMR, Skillets, Burger King, and Walmart.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Wayne McLeroy; two daughters, Bryttanie Beck of New York and Taylor Beck of Brownwood
; a son, Austin Lancaster of Early; her mother, Deanna Byer of Brownwood; and seven brothers and sisters, Timothy Daniel Byer of Brownwood, Rachael Allene Matthews of Brownwood, Ruth Allison Byer of Brownwood, Edward “Eddie” Byer Jr. of Brownwood, Beth Losure of Indiana, Tina Losure of Indiana and Stephanie Hurd of Indiana. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Byer.
