Brownwood Lions baseball traveled to Lampasas to battle the Badgers, falling in the last inning on Friday evening.
Carson McAnally was on the mound. After a scoreless opening inning for both teams, Lampasas scored one run in the 2nd inning.
Top of the 3rd, Lions earn three runs, taking the lead. They allowed Lampasas only one run and remained up 3-2 heading into the 4th.
Osteen took the mound. The badgers got another run bringing the game to a 3-3 tie in the 4th inning.
Lions scored and took a 4-3 lead in the 5th. The 6th inning was scoreless for both teams.
In the top of the 7th, Brownwood has bases loaded and Seth Owen hit a liner to short stop, moving one run in to make the game 5-3. Hayden Day took the mound in the bottom of the 7th. Lampasas managed to score three runs and won 6-5.
The Lions are 2-8 for the season and 0-2 in District 8-3A.
