Written by Scott Coers – The Brownwood Lions basketball squad defeated the Bangs Dragons in their opening matchup at this weekend’s TexasBank Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament. Lions scores were led by Zach Strong with 14 points followed by A.J. McCarty with 13 points. Brownwood is scheduled to face-off against Llano this evening in the Brownwood Coliseum at 8:30 p.m. in the second round of tournament play.
Brownwood Lady Lions kick-off their tournament play at 3:10 p.m. at Brownwood High School gym verses the Brady Lady Bulldogs.
