Brownwood Lions baseball took on the Gatesville Hornets Tuesday night, in a home game that resulted in another district loss, 5-3.
Seth Owen was the pitcher for the game and the Lions were able to hold in two scoreless innings.
The Lions earned two runs in the third, leading 0-2.
Gatesville managed one run in the fourth, and the score stayed 1-2 through the 6th inning.
Another run for Gatesville made it a tie game in the 7th, 2-2, taking the Lions into an extra innings.In the eighth inning, the Hornets managed three runs, taking the game 5-3.
The Lions now stand at 0-3 in District 8 – 3A, and 2-9 for the season. They will face Llano in an away game at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 28th.
