Brownwood High School cross country teams are headed to regional competition after both teams placed 2nd at the District cross country meet in Gatesville Wednesday morning.
Three BHS cross country team members will also advance to the region meet based on their individual scores. Dylan Person earned 2nd place with a run of 16:50 while Austin Snyder came in 5th with a time of 17:24 in the men’s varsity 5K run. Tori Burkett of the girls’ varsity team earned 5th place in the 2 mile run with a time of 12:21.
Both BHS varsity and JV teams received 2nd place as Liberty Hill High School swept the meet, placing 1st in all four runs.
Varsity teams will compete at the Region I-3A meet on Saturday, November 2nd at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
