Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda Person, age 69, of Brownwood passed away peacefully Thursday, August 3, 2017, at a local nursing home.
Graveside Services for Linda will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Bangs Cemetery with David Barnum officiating. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Linda was born to Jim and Amy (Young) Gholson on September 30, 1947, in Evant, Texas. She graduated from Evant High School. After high school his attended and graduated from Gary’s Beauty College in Brownwood. She was a beautician for many years.
Linda married the love of her life, Matt Person, on July 30, 1966 in Brown County; the two just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. She loved dancing and cooking. She never met a stranger. Linda was very much the matriarch of her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Matt Person of Brownwood; son, Jason Person and wife Tracy of Brownwood; grandchildren, Dylan Person, Ryan Layton, Carly Person, and Banner Loos; brothers, Jimmy Gholson and wife Martha of Burnet, and Eldon Gholson of Lampasas; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Amy Gholson; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Gholson.
