Graveside services for Linda Hamil, 71, of Brownwood will be held at 3 pm today, January 21, at Zephyr Cemetery with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
She died on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in San Antonio Texas.
Linda was born on October 3, 1943, in Midland Texas to Herman Lafayette Gunter and Gusta Irene (Creila) Gunter. She was raised and attended school in Midland and had worked as a CNA and at Parker & Parsley for several years before retiring and moving to Brownwood. She was a member of the Haven of Hope Church and had lived in Brownwood for the last 20 years.
Survivors include one sister, Connie Snowden; a brother, Herman Gunter; eight nieces and five nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hamil; her parents, Herman and Gusta Irene Gunter; four sisters, Margie Thornton, Jo Doss, Sandy Tyler and Nancy Gunter; two infant brothers, Clifford Lee and Jackie Don; and nephew, Kenny Hodges. www.nethertonfuenralhome.com
