Linda Doris Abernathy, 71, formerly of Brownwood, passed away November 4, 2018. viewing and visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Girdner Funeral Home, 141 Elm St. Abilene, Texas. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Thursday November 8, 2018 at Fountaingate Fellowship 909 n. Willis, Abilene, Texas.
Linda was born in Flagstaff Arizona to Herman Smith, and Bertha Barnum Givens. She lived most of her life in Brownwood, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was married to Henry M. Abernathy for 34 years, and had 4 Children. She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Early.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers; Jimmy Smith, Carl Moore and Herman Smith.
Linda is survived by her four children. Travis Abernathy (LIsa) of Abilene, Morris “Lee” Abernathy of Brownwood, Betty Jo Daniels ( John) of Abilene, and Deanna Goethe (Daniel) of Georgetown. Brother, Donald Smith of Michigan, and sisters; Loretta Smith of Austin, Donna Wilkins of Georgia, Jeannie Smith of Brownwood and Georgetta Partin of Abilene. Also loved by eighteen grand children, and thirty one great grand children.
