Mrs. Lilyan Lou Shannon Wood Taylor 87 years old of Santa Anna passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Coleman County Medical Center ER.
Lilyan was born on February 12, 1924 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma to James Edgar Shannon & Edna Kmish Ponder. She married Alton Wood on December 25, 1943 in Port Lavaca, he passed away. She then married Jesse Taylor in July, 1995 in Corpus Christi.
Lilyan is survived by 2 daughters; Brenda Wood of Corpus Christi, and Debra Lehman of Bangs, 1 son; John Wesley “Rusty” Wood of Santa Anna, 3 sisters; Maurine Jackson of Port Lavaca, Margaret Williams of Bandera, and Lynette Shannon of Port Lavaca, 1 brother; John Max Shannon of Mission Valley, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lilyan was preceded in death by her parents, and both of her husbands; Alton Wood and Jesse Taylor.
