A graveside funeral service for Lillian Michael, age 88 of May, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in the May Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Lillian Louise Stone was born on September 27, 1925 in Hatchell, Texas in Runnels County, to James Wesley and Lelia Tucker Stone.
She moved to Brown County in 1940 and graduated from May High School in 1943.
She married George H. Michael on December 14, 1946. She was saved in August of 1947 at the First Baptist Church of May and had been a member of the church ever since. Lillian was the church treasurer for the church for 32 years.
Lillian was always helping anyone that needed help. She made the best chocolate pies and always made sure no one went without. Lillian was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a wonderful Christian. She lived and taught her Christian values. She is watching over us from Heaven.
Lillian is survived by her husband George, her daughter Janice and husband Shorty. She is also survived by her grandsons; Todd Kilgo and wife Michelle, Chad Kilgo and wife Brenda, Wesley Michael and wife Brenda, and Tony Camp, her granddaughters; Tracy and husband Hank Schumacher and Mitzi and husband Jason Cockerham. She is survived by her great-grandchildren, Braxton Kilgo, Hunter Kilgo, Kyndi Kilgo, Tyler Hammond, Wyatt Michael, Jake Michael, Colin Michael, Catlyn Schumacher, Casey Schumacher, Peyton Cockerham, Paige Camp and Paityn Camp.
The family requests memorials be made to the May First Baptist Church or to the May Cemetery Association.
