Lillian Marie Cole, at the age of 87 departed her earthly home for her eternal heavenly home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the First Baptist Church of Bangs. Burial will follow in Bangs Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00pm until 7:00, Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Lillian was born in Lockhart, Texas, on July 5, 1924, to Clara and William “Ben” McGlothlin. On October 22, 1941, Lillian married Bert Cole, and from their union there are two sons; David Cole & wife Martha of Bangs, TX, Lloyd Cole & wife Kathy of Bangs, TX, and two daughters; Joyce Fisher & husband Wayne of Brownwood, TX, and Eva Gunter & husband John Wayne of Brownwood, TX. She is further survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, eight siblings, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Cole was an active member of the Concord Baptist Church. For many years she enjoyed faithfully sharing encouraging correspondence for special events relating to that church’s membership and families. Vegetable and flower gardening were her most beloved outdoor activities.
