Lillian Lorraine Morelock, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 8, 2017.  She passed peacefully surrounded by family in her home on Morelock Lane in Brownwood, Texas.

Lorraine, or Granny, as she was lovingly known, was born January 13, 1927, in Hastings, Iowa; the eldest daughter of Aaron Franklin Crouse and Eunice Gertrude Geneva Roberts Crouse.  Lorraine devoted a lifetime to the family she built with Roy Samuel Morelock, her husband of 55 years.  Lorraine’s love was unmistakable, her faith unquestionable, and her beauty undeniable.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Samuel; her parents, Aaron and Eunice Crouse; sister-in-laws, Betty Crouse and Martha Thorlin and her husband Frederick Thorlin II; and her brother-in-law, Steve Morelock.

Lorraine is survived by her brother, Ralph; sister, Norma Lea “Smiley” Rush and her husband Dale; children, Dan Morelock and wife Karey Gail, Marcia Deen and husband Roy, Margie Hughes and husband Terry, Diane McClatchy and husband Mike, Don Morelock and wife Debbie, and Scott Morelock; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in law, Paula Morelock; brother-in-law, John Morelock, Sr. and his wife Carolyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews through which her legacy will forever remain.

A Private Graveside Service will be held in remembrance of Lorraine.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Central United Methodist Church (1501 2nd St. Brownwood, Texas 76801) or Corinne T. Smith Animal Shelter.
