Sunday night a thunderstorm moved through Brown County bringing some rain and an abundance of lighting driving one family from their home.
The Brownwood Fire Department responded to a house fire Sunday night at approximately 10:20pm. Fire officials said that lightning from the passing storm started the blaze.

One firefighter on the scene helping put out the fire was hurt with a hyper extended knee. He was taken to the hospital by Guardian EMS and was treated with a leg splint and released.
Firefighters were at the fire until 1:30am Monday morning tending to the home and fire.
