Funeral services for Lenora McKenzie, age 94, of Abilene, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 2:30 Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early.  Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. McKenzie passed away Friday February 24, 2017 in Abilene.

Lenora Wallace was born February 6, 1923 in Oklahoma to Albert and Lula Maudie (Hail) Wallace.  She married Spencer Morton McKenzie in Ballinger on February 10, 1940. Lenora was a member of the Avenue D Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Sherrell Howe; two sons-in-law John Wesley Joy and Gene Perry; 11 grandchildren, Lisa and BW Kennedy, Tobin Joy, Mitzie and Damon Kelley, Dub and Kimberly Calhoun, Audra West Moreland and David, Lee Anna and Dave Grange, Sandra and Mark Ellis, Rhonda and Michael Lucero, Carla and Ash Aikin, Corina and David Gingrich and Cory Howe, 28 great grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters Avis Joy, Alta Lee Stith and Janice Perry; grandchildren James Howe, Melissa and Melinda Howe and Marty Calhoun, James Todd Westmoreland; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Lucero; brothers Archie, Robert and Vernon Wallace and two sisters Nila Kitchens and Myrtle King.
