Funeral Services for Lena Weidemann will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Lena Louise YazellWeidemann died February 7, 2015 just after turning 103 years of age in Brownwood, Texas. Lena was born to Harvey and Molly Yazell in 1912 near Lampasas, Texas, and she is preceded in death by her brother, Herschal, and her sister, Juanita Pierson (Bill).
In 1931, Lena married Wilber Brewer (deceased), and they had three children, Barbara Moring (Joe), John (deceased), and Janis Eckert (Arliss-deceased). Lena married her second husband, Elmer Carl (Speed) Weidemann (deceased), in 1945.
Lena was blessed with abundant grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Lena will be remembered for her kindness toward others, her cooking talents, and her exceptional gardening skills. The memories of Lena’s flowers, with their intricately landscaped patterns, are a fitting tribute to her fascinating life.
