Lelia Mae Smith, of Brownwood, Texas, was born to Ida Lucille Morris and Preston Theon Morris on July 28, 1936 in Loraine, Texas. She passed from this life on December 25, 2015. She married Harvey Lee Smith, in Sweetwater, Texas on November 22, 1951. They lived in Sweetwater until 1964, and then moved to Gonzales, Texas. They relocated to Brownwood, Texas in 1995, where she has lived since.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a Sister, Eudera Patterson, a Brother, Lowell Morris, her husband Harvey Smith, and a son, David Smith.
She is survived by a son, Roger K. Smith of Marble Falls, Texas, two brothers, Douglas Morris of San Angelo, Texas, and Ray Morris of Springfield, Missouri, a sister, Joyce Rogers of Texarkana, Texas, three granddaughters, Bonnie Smith of Austin, Texas, Kimberly Smith of Brooklyn, New York, and Taryn Cline of Plano, Texas. She also had one great grandson, Greyson Cline of Plano, Texas.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations, in her name, to be mailed to Grace Baptist Church Missions, at 103 Salt Creek Drive, Early, Texas 76802.
