The Lehnis Railroad Museum in Brownwood will host a weekend Christmas event this Friday and Saturday featuring Santa Claus, a Christmas Tree Auction and a cross making craft.
The event will be held at the museum on Friday, December 20 from 1 PM – 3:30 PM and again on Saturday, December 21 from 10 AM – 3:30 PM.
Santa Claus will be attending the event and will visit with kids and parents about what they want for Christmas this year.
McCoy’s Building Supply of Brownwood will also host a craft where kids can build and decorate a wooden cross. This is the same craft that has been featured at the Christmas Under the Stars Festival for the last few years.
The Christmas tree auction that began at the beginning of the month will also wrap up on Saturday of the event. Local non-profit organizations put together the fully decorated trees at the Lehnis Railroad Museum, and each tree is up for auction. Silent auction bid sheets are at each tree and all proceeds will benefit the non-profit agency who decorated the tree. This will be a great chance for the public to purchase a fully decorated Christmas tree for the holiday season while supporting a local non-profit agency.
This will be the last chance for the public to bid and take home the trees before the Christmas. The museum will be closed next week.
