Leatrice Copeland was born on January 4, 1930 in Robert Lee, Texas the daughter of the late William Carl and Beulah Mae Hedrick. She attended school in the Williams Community and later married Luther L. Copeland on September 22, 1947 in Brownwood. She attended the Southside Church in Brownwood and was an active member of the Joy Sunday School Class.
She had various jobs throughout the years, but most of all was a homemaker and devoted mother to her four children. Leatrice loved to talk on the phone and visiting with others. She would have all the knowledge of the family’s “goings on”. She loved spending time with her family, attending school functions, and doing things for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Roy Hedrick, three sisters, Lois Hardy, Lena Hord, and Johnnie Hedrick, and a grandson, Scott Henson.
She is survived by a brother, Jake Hedrick and wife Sybil of May, Texas
A sister, Carletta West of Ballinger
Her children, Luther C. Copeland and wife Susan of Stephenville, Shirley G. Dawson and husband Marvin of Brownwood, Lonnie D. Copeland and wife Debbie of Magnolia, Texas and JoAnn Glenewinkel and husband Danny of Georgetown.

17 Great-grandchildren: Jaedyn, Peyton, Tristan S., Tristan B., Ashleigh, Dylan, Aurie, Devin, Braden, Tye, Coby, Shyanne, Landon, Booklyn, Kelsea, Neally, and Caden.
A number of nieces and nephews also survive as well as other family members.
The family wishes to send special thanks to Dr. Lisa Fowler for her numerous years of care provided, to the staff of Cross Country who provided care, and to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center ICU nurses who showed great compassion to the family, and to all others who participated in many ways of caring.
