Funeral Services for Lawrence D. Guevara Jr., age 75, of Blanket, Texas will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 28, 2012 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Looby officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Blanket Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Guevara passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 in the Comanche County Medical Center.
Lawrence D. Guevara Jr. was born on October 3, 1936 in Bronte, Texas to Lawrence and Margaret Domingues. On December 27, 1960 he married Lorean Rodriguez in Brownwood. They traveled and lived in many places before his retirement from the United States Navy after over 18 years of service. In 1975, they made Brownwood their home. He was a graduate of Central Texas Commercial College and was also retired from Superior Cable.
