Thursday, December 6

*4:56 p.m. – Brownwood Police received a report of a burglary of a habitation via telephone.  According to the report, criminal charges are being pursued.

Saturday, December 8

*4:17 p.m. – Brownwood Police Department were called to the 1100 block of Lackey Street regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, the female caller reported that she believed her ex-husband had been in her residence and had left some items inside.

*10:26 p.m. – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle which had pulled into the driveway of a residence.  According to the report, the deputy was on patrol when he noticed a pickup truck which had its dome light on, shining to the back of the truck.  The vehicle pulled into a driveway before the deputy could activate his emergency lights.  When the deputy made contact with the driver, it was found that he was in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, the report states.  When the deputy asked the male driver, identified as Erasmo Castaneda, to place his hands behind his back several times, he refused and eventually was found to have hidden a small baggie of methamphetamine in his hat and then tossed on the ground, according to the report.  As the deputy placed him into handcuffs, Castaneda resisted and was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, tampering with evidence and resisting arrest.

Monday, December 10

*3:33 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Berkley Street in Brownwood.  According to the report, girl’s bicycle was stolen from underneath a carport between noon and 2:30 p.m. this date.  There was no suspect information at the time of the report.

*8:25 p.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue G regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, the complainant advised that two young male subjects had gone into the residence and threatened the complainant and her husband, pushed them and then struck their pickup and drove away.  One of the suspects has been identified; however no arrests were made at the time of the report.

*9:09 p.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Commerce, McDonald’s, regarding theft.  According to the report, a backpack was stolen from the bed of a truck while it was parked in the parking lot of the business.

*9:27 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of 6th Street regarding theft of property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that they had allowed a friend to borrow their X-Box 360 and that the subject then pawned the item without their permission.  A suspect was identified; however no arrest was made at the time of the report.

*10:23 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to a possible domestic dispute in the 1700 block of 9th Street.  According to the report, the subjects were determined to be involved in a verbal argument which had turned physical.    No injuries were found on either subject and they agreed to separate for the night.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Aaron Joseph Bumgardner of San Saba for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

Tuesday, December 11

*12:35 a.m. – A Brownwood police officer was no patrol in the parking lot of Wal-Mart when he witnessed a subject leaving the store with what was determined to be stolen property.  According to the report, the subject later identified as 23-year-old Kyle Lee Pena was arrested for theft and an outstanding warrant out of Comanche County for theft.

*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Billy Joe Brummett of Brookesmith for criminal mischief $50-$500 and Public Intoxication.
