Friday, September 5

*8:25 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2700 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of a juvenile.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Sergeant spoke with a complainant via telephone regarding a feeding trough that had been stolen from a property located at the corner of FM 2490 and Hwy 279.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of identity theft.  According to the report, the female complainant stated that her credit card had been compromised and a total of $999.91 in unauthorized charges had been made.  A report for ID Theft was taken.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 18-year-old Jon Devin Canon of Brownwood on warrants related to no driver’s license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Donna Harrison of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Steven Trevino Hernandez of Bangs on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Joshua Christopher Ruiz of Eastland on a warrant related to criminal mischief motion to adjudicate.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 25-year-old Angel Chree Bennett Skinner of Blanket for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Mark Anthony Stewart of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/burglary of a habitation.

*22-year-old Arthur Villarreal of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to amending probations.

Saturday, September 6

*7:59 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Oakland Drive regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, a female complainant stated that a male subject had come onto her property and was knocking on her daughter’s window.

*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of N. Fisk Avenue regarding harassment.

*4:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance.

*5:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  Several juveniles were detained for theft.  According to the report, the store wished to file charges for theft.

*7:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding a fight.  According to the report, two subjects had been involved in a physical altercation and a third subject was assaulted while trying to break up the fight.

*9:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Penn Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a female stated that her husband had assaulted her and then fled the residence.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle, which was crossing the white line on the roadway.  According to the report, when the deputy made contact with the driver he seemed to be nervous. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Curtis James Green of Brownwood, was advised why he was being stopped, asked to get out of the vehicle and empty his pockets, the report states.  While emptying his pockets, a small clear plastic cigarette wrapper with a green leafy substance fell on the ground and Greene picked it up, the report states.  When asked what it was, Green stated it was just a little bit of marijuana and was placed under arrest.  After being booked in at the Brown Count Jail, Greene advised he had more marijuana at his house, so the deputy went to his home and with the consent of his wife, went to the bedroom and retrieved the rest of his marijuana.   Green was charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 59-year-old Archie Jackson Graham III of Brownwood on warrants related to no liability insurance and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Robert Arthur Kent on a warrant related to sex offender’s duty to register with previous conviction.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kaitlyn Marie King of Brownwood on a Comanche County warrant related to failure to appear/theft.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Kimberly Marie McKenzie of May for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Sunday, September 7

*2:57 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy performed a traffic stop for speeding on a white Chevrolet pickup on W. Highway 67 in Bangs, Texas.  According to the report, after giving consent to search, the driver, identified as 50-year-old William Edward Tate, Jr. of Brownwood, was found to be in possession of a baggie containing methamphetamine residue, 0.3 grams of marijuana, 2.6 grams of Hydrocodone tablets without a prescription, and 27 Suboxone strips weighing a total of 22.0 grams including packaging without a prescription. Tate was placed under arrest for possession of controlled substance penalty group 1, less than 1 gram, possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces, possession of controlled substance penalty group 3, less than 28 grams, and possession of controlled substance penalty group 4 less than 28 grams.  Tate was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $15,500 as of Monday morning.

*9:06 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Belle Plain regarding a call of a juvenile who was fearful of returning home due to fear of abuse.   The situation was investigated and is pending further investigation.

*10:38 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Brady Avenue regarding an assault.

*11:13 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on FM 583 in May, TX regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had broken into the barn on his property and stolen forty 50 lb. bags of Red Chain range cubes.  The complainant also explained someone had broken the chain on his gate to the property, the report states.

*1:13 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy took a walk-in complaint of theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated a co-worker stole an X-Box console with accessories on August 1st, and refused to pay for the items.

*7:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a male and female were involved in a physical altercation and the incident was documented.

*9:58 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a traffic violation.  According to the report, during a stop a quantity of marijuana as well as multiple paraphernalia items were located in the vehicle.  Two juveniles as well as one adult, identified as 18-year-old Colt Justin Greenrock, were arrested for the offense of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Anthony Wright Bundick for driving while intoxicated.

Monday, September 8

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Christopher James Cotton of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
