Friday, September 2
*2:58 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Magnolia Street regarding an assault involving family violence. Officers attempted to speak with the victim; however, the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation.
*7:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 4th Street regarding an assault.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old James Kevin Hardy of Rising Star on a warrant related to sex offender’s duty to register annually/life.
*Brownwood Police arrested 52-year-old Thomas Paul Lawson of Brownwood on a warrant related to driving while license invalid and a non-reportable offense.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Juan Robles of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, three counts of tamper/fabricate physical evidence involving methamphetamine, marijuana and alprazolam, and for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams. Robles was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $140,000 as of Tuesday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Phliscity Denise Russell of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*25-year-old Walter Daniel Tompkins of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Saturday, September 3
*12:07 AM – A Brownwood Police was called to a north Brownwood night club regarding a stolen vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that his truck had been stolen while he was inside the business.
*12:35 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence in south Brownwood regarding an assault. According to the report, the female had been locked out of the house by her husband after the assault. The incident was documented, the report states.
*1:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue B regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of a juvenile for an aggravated assault which caused serious bodily injury.
*1:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding the burglary of a vehicle and criminal mischief. According to the report, the vehicle’s windshield was destroyed during the burglary. As a result of this call, 23-year-old Ricardo Maldonado of Brownwood was arrested for trespass in habitation/superfund site.
*4:03 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle. According to the report, the driver did not have an eligible driver’s license. During the stop, the deputy was given consent to search the car. The deputy asked the passenger, identified as 36-year-old John Ortiz, to exit the vehicle and Ortiz gave the deputy consent to search his person, the report states. During the search of Ortiz, when he was putting his boots back on, the deputy noticed him drop a plastic bag into his right boot which was later found to contain 1.3 grams of methamphetamine, the report states. Ortiz was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and tamper with physical evidence. Ortiz was later released on bonds totaling $11,000.
*7:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Booker Street regarding harassment.
*9:19 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on Killarney Drive near Lake Brownwood regarding a domestic disturbance. The deputy spoke to a male complainant who stated that his ex-wife had assaulted him after a verbal argument, the report states.
*10:25 PM – Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant via telephone regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that a neighbor had an extension cord plugged into the outside of his business and was stealing electricity. The complainant wished to pursue charges for the theft, the report states.
*11:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s truck was damaged when her boyfriend became angry and kicked the vehicle. The complainant wished to pursue charges the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft or property. According to the report, the elderly male complainant reported that he let a female with her daughter and nephew stay with him at his home at north Lake Brownwood for a few days. The three had been kicked out of the house they were staying in, according to the complainant. According to the report, the three left the complainant’s house at about 2:20 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2016, heading to Big Spring. About 30 minutes after their departure, the complainant noticed a check book, a debit card, and 2 bank bags full of miscellaneous change were missing from his chest of drawers, the report states. The complainant stated he had not given the suspects consent to take the items and that he had limited information about them.
*A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper made a traffic stop on a vehicle approximately 2.5 miles west of Bangs for traveling in the left hand lane while not passing another vehicle. During the stop, the male driver, identified as 26-year-old Feliz Uzoma Ajaegbu of Fort Worth, was found to be in possession of narcotics. While the trooper was attempting to arrest him, Ajaegbu fled the scene of the traffic stop on foot, leaving his 17-month old daughter behind, the report states. Ajaegbu was eventually found after a nearby resident noticed police in the area and reported a man having stopped by his house asking for water and a ride into town because he had a flat tire. Ajaegbu was apprehended a short time after the resident called 9-1-1. The child was taken to the DPS office in Brownwood where troopers contacted the mother of the child, according to officials. The mother, who is also from Fort Worth, arrived at the same time as Child Protective Services and was questioned by both DPS and CPS before she was cleared to leave with the child, according to DPS officials. Ajaegbu was charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 400 grams, manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams, manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams, manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, abandon child without intent to return, fleeing police officer, unlawful carrying weapon, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and failure to identify fugitive intentionally give false information. Ajaegbu was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $235,500 as of Tuesday morning.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 34-year-old Robert Lara, Jr. for driving while intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Justin Don Lewis of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/fraud destroy/removal. Lewis was released on $10,000 bond.
Sunday, September 4
*12:44 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 13th Street and Brady Avenue. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 28-year-old Christina Deanda of Grand Prairie for driving while intoxicated after she received medical care.
*1:35 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, a lockbox, jewelry and electronics were stolen from the residence.
*6:40 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding an aggravated robbery. According to the report, jewelry, a toolbox with tools and some pocket knives were stolen during the incident. No arrest had been made at the time of the report, according to police.
*1:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a tire on the complainant’s vehicle was damaged.
*1:45 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to North Highway 279 for a found property report. According to the report, the reporting party stated she had found narcotics in the parking lot. The narcotics where taken to Brown County Sheriff’s Office where they were properly indexed into the evidence room.
*3:58 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of High Mesa Drive regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, a light pole and a portable basketball goal were damaged during the incident.
*6:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a pair of sunglasses and batteries were stolen from the business.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 53-year-old James Donald Brant of Kingsville, Texas on a Lenawee County, Michigan warrant for criminal nonsupport.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 32-year-old Jeanelle Leach Brewer of Hico, Texas for driving while intoxicated.
*Early Police arrested 37-year-old Justin Travis Eoff of Early for aggravated assault family violence with deadly weapon. Eoff was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond as of Tuesday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Randy Lynn Greathouse of Brownwood on a Green County, Missouri related to two counts of domestic assault.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 19-year-old Benjamin Keech of Brownwood for possession of marijuana.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 53-year-old Carlton Lee Low of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Anna Strathy McClain of Lake Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Monday, September 5
*1:25 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 31-year-old Robert Chase Holden of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone. Holden was later released on bonds totaling $12,500.
*8:26 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and W. Depot Street. According to the report this led to the arrest of 29-year-old Racheal Bishop for driving while license invalid.
*6:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue G regarding a fight in progress. According to the report, suspects fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. An incident of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was documented.
*8:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of 16th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a case of assault with injury family violence was documented and the juvenile suspect was referred for a Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) evaluation.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 21-year-old Tommy Lynn Cunningham of Pflugerville, Texas for driving while intoxicated blood alcohol level greater than 0.15 and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
