Wednesday, September 4
*10:47 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a Garmin GPS system, valued at approximately $150, was stolen from the vehicle.
*4:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Crockett Drive regarding an animal bite. According to the report, a Child Protective Services worker advised that he was in the 2600 block of N. Main Blvd checking on a client when a brown and white dog (Lab and Pit bull mix) charged him and bit him on the shin. The officer described the bite as below the knee with a 1-inch and a 6-inch scratch going down the shin. The next day, a neighbor gave the officer a telephone number for the owner of the dog, the report states. This contact was the sister to the owner; however, she was willing to help take care of whatever needed to be done with the dog, including quarantine, which was required due to the dog not being current on its rabies vaccination, according to the report. The dog will be in quarantine until September 13th and will be updated on its rabies vaccination.
Thursday, September 5
*8:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Kay Drive regarding a possible hit and run crash. According to the report, a suspect has been identified and a criminal case filed.
*3:09 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 800 block of E. Baker (at the Brownwood Coliseum) regarding a hit and run motor vehicle accident. According to the report, the complainant’s 2009 Lincoln MKS 4-door passenger car was damaged on the right front quarter panel. Damage was estimated at $2000.00, the report states.
*9:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised someone stole her purse out of her vehicle.
*12:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Penn Street regarding illegal drugs. According to the report, Child Protective Services were investigating a residence and located a small amount of leafy substance believed to be marijuana. Police seized the substance and obtained information indicating who the suspect was, the report states. The suspect was not on scene at the time of the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Heather Gale Dominguez on Brown County warrants related to criminal trespass and theft of property greater than $50 less than $500, and Comanche County warrants for theft by check and theft.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Charles Devlyn Dyess on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Jerry Allen Leonard for failure to appear/assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Zane Miller of San Saba on a warrant.
*22-year-old Checilia A. Washington turned herself in on a warrant related to failure to appear/assault family violence.
Friday, September 6
*3:30 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of 6th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband had assaulted her after discovering her with another man. She stated that she had been hit on the back of the head; however, no visible injuries were noted, the report stated. The suspect had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival and has not been located at the time of the report, according to police.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Jerry Douglas Allen, Jr. on a warrant for public intoxication.
*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Rick Ollius Branham for driving while license invalid.
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Billy Joe Jones on a parole warrant.
