Saturday, August 30
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the female complainant stated that after she had been released from jail, she came home to find someone had stolen everything in her home. Possible suspects have been identified, the report states.
Wednesday, September 3
*2:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Main Blvd regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the suspect made entry into the home and stole several items. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft from a local construction company. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect, his office manager had allegedly stolen between $16,000-$17,000 through fraudulent use of the company’s credit card and fraudulent entries into the company’s accounting software. He alleged that company assets have been diverted for the female suspect’s personal gain and benefit, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of property. According to the report, the female complainant stated that she had entered into a construction contract with a builder from New Braunfels, Texas and paid $55,000 in cash for work. The complainant stated that the builder had completed demolition of an interior apartment within a metal building in preparation for new construction, that construction materials had been delivered, and framing started on the new interior structure; however, the builder has discontinued the work and now refuses to honor their contract, the report states.
Thursday, September 4
*1:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding theft. According to the report, the investigation is ongoing and the store wishes to pursue charges.
*7:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of 14th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, personal property had been stolen and the investigation is ongoing.
*7:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Melwood and W. Anderson Street regarding trespassing. According to the report, dispatch had been advised that a male subject had entered the old nursing home and had not come back out. This call led to the arrest of 51-year-old Kyle Adam Haney for failure to identify fugitive – intentionally gives false information and on warrants from Pardons and Parole and out of Ellis County related to theft of property greater than $1500 two or more convictions enhanced, the report states.
*7:56 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Vine Street regarding a domestic disturbance involving an assault causing bodily injury. According to the report, the suspect was no longer on scene.
*8:55 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Stephen F. Austin for failure to signal a turn. This call led to the arrest of 28-year-old James David Jones of Austin for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Beaver Street regarding a runaway juvenile.
*33-year-old Jacob Allen Davis of Brownwood turned himself in on an Ector County warrant related to theft by check.
*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Alan Leroy Everett of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Early Police arrested 37-year-old Wendy Ann Holster of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and driving while license invalid.
*Bangs Police arrested 63-year-old Raymond Tatum of Manor, Texas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Friday, September 5
*4:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd regarding theft. According to the report, a female complainant stated that she had told another female to hold a PSC and the female would not return the PSC and had indicated that her boyfriend pawned the PSC at an unknown pawn shop.
