Tuesday, September 3
*3:52 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, dispatch advised responding officers that several windows at the residence had been broken and that a second caller had contacted dispatch advising that her grandkids had broken three of the windows that were broken. The subjects that broke the windows were reported to be under 10 years of age, according to police. There were seven windows total that were damaged, the report states.
Wednesday, September 4
*8:03 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Thunderbird Drive area in May regarding the theft of a heavy duty boat battery, which was valued at $140.00.
*10:53 AM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding trespassing. A suspect has been identified; however, no arrest was made at the time of the report.
*11:52 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of Oak Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant noticed that her lawn mower had been stolen. The incident was believed to have occurred in the evening hours of September 3rd and just prior to the call, the report states. The lawn mower is described as an extremely old Craftsman riding mower, which is heavily worn, and functions poorly; however, the complainant wished the mower to be listed as stolen according to the report. The mower was last seen parked a few feet from the alleyway in the backyard of the complainant’s resident, the report states.*4:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Belmeade regarding the theft of a trailer. According to the report, a 24 foot flatbed gooseneck trailer valued at $7500 was stolen.
*4:07 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud. According to the report, the complainant stated that his ex-girlfriend had used his social security number to open a Verizon account in New Mexico. Charges are being pursued for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information – elderly, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a check. According to the report, the complainant reported that an unknown person or persons had stolen a check from her and used it at a local business in the amount of $65.03. The account is closed and a report of forgery has been filed, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old William Joe Bailey for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*32-year-old Julie Ann Barrios turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old James McCullough on a warrant related to driving while license invalid.
